  • Hiking. You can hike around the Sierra de Gibralmora which is very close to La Moraleda. The starting points from the villages, Casarabonela, Yunquera, Alozaina and Tolox, offer very interesting routes for hiking. In the area of the Gaitanes’ gorge you’ll find the impressive "Caminito del Rey" a narrow pathway which is hanging a hundred meters high from the vertical walls of the gorge. The natural Parks of Los Montes de Malaga and of the Sierra de las Nieves are not far and offer a wide selection of routes for hiking lovers. Very near La Moraleda you can hire horses for equestrian trips.

  • Mountain bike. From La Moraleda you can leave on mountain bike for Las Sierras del Hacho and Gibralgalia.

  • Golf Courses. About half an hour from La Moraleda you’ll find the golf courses of Alahurin El Grande, Alhaurin de la Torre and Mijas.

  • Nautical sports. What is known as "The Three Lakes" composed of the three artificial lakes El Conde del Guadalhorce, El Guadalteba and El Guadalhorce, you can practice canoeing and other nautical sports.

  • Mountain climbing. If mountain climbing is your cup of tea, you could consider visiting the School of Climbing of El Chorro which is considered the best one in Andalusia. You can practise climbing on the vertical walls of Gaitanes’ gorge where you'll find hundreds of climbing paths with different handicaps.

  • Parapente y ala delta. El Valle de Abdalajís es conocido entre los practicantes del vuelo, por la excelencia de sus condiciones meteorológicas, orografía y corrientes térmicas, que permiten realizar vuelos de larga duración durante todo el año.
